No matter which term you're using (retractable bed, wall bed, fold-away bed or wardrobe bed, etc.) they all mean the same thing!
This type of bed can be suitable for all kinds of rooms-- great for a child's room, home-office, or in a boudoir. Perfect from the attic all the way down to the basement, you just have to find the model that fits your unique needs. We can create single, double, queen, and even king-size bed projects. |
Each of the available mattresses on the market has different components and purposes. Of course, they're all made to sleep! But still... Some mattresses that are more conventional may be suitable to our beds. However, we must take into account: - thickness - weight - dimensions In addition, we must not forget that mattresses housed in this style of bed spend most of their time in a vertical position. So we need to make sure that your mattress is suitable for this kind of model, otherwise pads and springs could end up at the bottom. The mattresses we sell are all custom-made in Quebec! We have different ranges of mattresses. During your visit in store, you will be able to try them out to evaluate your comfort level and make sure you find the right fit for you. From a softer mattress to a very firm one, everyone will find their match. |
Wall beds are very safe.
From our beds to our wardrobes, desks, or closets, everything is well thought-out and set up according to the wall's nature. We use very high-quality materials and frames that have proved their worth over time.
During assembly, our team of professionals will take the time to properly set up your project. Everything will be inspected for strength and security.
Does the assembly process make holes in your walls? Yes, because your bed must be fixed on the wall. However, we make sure to set it up with studs which minimize the size of the holes. Quality brackets perfectly hold the unit.
We also set it up inside concrete walls with anchors specially made for concrete.
Once your bed is assembled, the installation and mechanism are guaranteed for life.

One of the great pleasures of owning a wall bed is not having to make your bed every morning!
Our bed boxes are specifically designed for well-framed mattresses, while leaving a secure area on each side so you can leave your sheets, duvet, bedspread and pillows in the bed when you close it. We also offer a ''pillow box'' option, available in a range of 20 inches deep models. |
We usually work with two types of mechanisms: the spring mechanism and the Murphy mechanism.
A third mechanism exists on the market with removable shelves.

Spring Mechanism
This Italian mechanism is characterized by two white boxes containing springs.
When the bed is closed, the springs are at rest. Once the bed is open, the springs are fully extended. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to close the bed when not in use. In addition to the highly resistant springs, the bed is supported by retractable chromed metal legs. Everything is well framed by a solid melamine box that frames the mattress. This mechanism is very robust and is guaranteed for life after setup. |
Murphy Mechanism
The Murphy mechanism owes its name to its creator William L. Murphy, who made his first wall bed tests in the 1890s.
It is characterized by a spring mechanism, a bed base and metal framing. With this mechanism, you only have to handle one large leg. When it comes to safety, a mattress using a Murphy mechanism must be set up to the slat base. |
Mechanism with Removable Shelves
This Italian import mechanism immediately gives your bed a second purpose.
Whether for a small desk or decorative shelves, no need to move things around before sleeping with this mechanism! Everything can stay in place on the shelves even when the bed is open.
With this alternative, the bed base is in slats since the mattress must be fixed through the Murphy mechanism.

We produce plans for single, double and queen-size beds, both in vertical and horizontal orientations.
After that we can add shelves, cabinets, drawers, desks, etc., all according to YOUR needs.

The nice thing with custom-tailoring is that we can manufacture units of almost every depth!
However, the bed's depth itself is standard; we usually work with two different depths. Here are the characteristics for each of them, which could influence your choice:

Whether for a living room, family room or even an open loft, it is possible to add a sofa to your wall bed.
We offer custom sofas, loveseats or couches in an incredible choice of colours and textures. With this wonderful option, it's always best to go for a bed at least 20'' deep.
Since the bed model is higher, it will be easier to handle the sofa when you open the bed.
